The Sentierelsa is a historical-naturalistic route that allows you to walk along the river for a couple of kilometers. The trail starts from the bridge of San Marziale, located in Gracciano, and reaches as far as San Giorgio. The journey time is about 3 hours (round trip).
Along the route, there are many types of trees, plants, remains of ancient hydraulic constructions and water jumps like that of the Diborrato, fifteen meters high, which flows into a deep pool of clear water. Going forward, we arrive at the so-called “Grotta dell’Orso”, so called because of its shape resembling the profile of this animal. Once at the ford, it is possible to pass the river through the outcropping rocks.
